How Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 can be more popular than the Redmi Note 6 in India under Rs. 15,000

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 price in India could start at as low as Rs. 11,000 for the 3GB RAM, and could go up to Rs. 15,000 for the 6GB RAM model. We can expect the Redmi Note 7 to launch in India soon.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is the company's latest salvo for the budget segment, and it could very well be the next 'best-seller' for Xiaomi in India. Xiaomi's Redmi smartphone range has been one that has seen many popular products including the Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5 Pro and currently available Redmi Note 6 Pro. We strongly believe that the Redmi Note 7 may become the next hot-selling product under Rs. 15,000 price range in the country. However, the Redmi Note 7's journey in the country won't be a cake walk anymore with the likes of Realme and Honor phones that have been equally offering value for money phones at aggressive price points.
The Redmi Note 7 price in China starts at as low as CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the basic model. There are CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,500) and CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 15,000) variants as well. We can very well expect the Redmi Note 7 to launch in India below Rs. 15,000 price point.

Currently, Xiaomi is countering with one of its biggest controversies which is the massive 48-megapixel sensor on the Redmi Note 7. The Internet was baffled by the megapixel count on the device especially realising that the chipset doesn't support such a huge sensor.
On paper, the 48-megapixel rear camera on the Redmi Note 7 looks marvellous but considering that the Snapdragon 660 processor is powering the phone only supports up to 25-megapixel leaves a lot of unanswered questions for a regular customer.
The answer to this mystery is the Samsung GM1 sensor which delivers higher quality 12-megapixel images. The new Samsung sensor can offer native 12-megapixel pictures but with the help quad pixels which combined can collect more light to offer up to 48-megapixel shots. Slightly technical but you will get the hang of it once you get your hands on the Redmi Note 7.
It's worth noting that the Redmi Note 7 isn't the first phone to offer a 48-megapixel camera sensor as Huawei has already launched Honor V20 globally and by the end of January being unveiled as the Honor View 20 in India.
The Redmi Note 7 sports a dual camera set up at the back featuring a 48-megapixel sensor coupled with a 5-megapixel sensor. It comes with an f/1.8 aperture for better low-light shots. Xiaomi is also marketing the Redmi Note 7 as the phone with AI-enabled features including in selfies. There's also a 13-megapixel front camera onboard.
The Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch dewdrop notch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with 409ppi pixel density. The handset packs massive 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support for fast charging. Unlike previous Redmi phones, the new Redmi Note 7 ships with a USB Type-C port. It will be available in Blue, Red, and Black colours with gradient look mimicking somewhat Honor 10-like rear. The Redmi Note 7 is built out of glass and looks very premium. It has been launched in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage options.
